FREDERICTON, New Brunswick – February 8, 2011 – Remsoft, the leading provider of asset lifecycle optimization solutions for land-based and infrastructure assets, today announced that in 2010 it achieved its 18th consecutive year of profitability. During the year, Remsoft executives were named Franz Edelman Laureates for Achievement in Operations Research and the Management Sciences, the company was recognized in an independent research firm’s report and it added staff to support strong growth in its grey infrastructure practice.
“Over the past several years, organizations have realized that managing assets is simply not enough; they are now embracing asset optimization to increase the lifetime sustainability and profitability of resources, whether a forest, a highway or a roof,” said Andrea Feunekes, co-CEO of Remsoft. “Throughout 2010, we invested in our development, technical and sales teams to increase our ability to sell to and service the grey infrastructure market. Remsoft’s traction across industries is not only a testament to market need, but to the strength of our technology and people.”
“Asset lifecycle optimization solutions can help organizations strengthen performance, sequester carbon and improve valuation through more efficient planning and utilization of current and future assets,” said Dr. Stephen Stokes, vice president at Gartner, Inc. “Organizations that utilize asset modeling and optimization technology have achieved significant cost and time savings by creating a long-term strategy for their assets rather than using a short-term, knee-jerk approach.”
