Tuesday, February 25, 2014 - Tactical Planning - The Reality Check:

How to create and ensure you have a realistic plan by identifying and tackling current business issues and considering available resources.

• Capital Expenditure: Plan for and assess capital expenditures
• Strategic Procurement: Validate and explore procurement decisions
• Supply Chain: Balance supply and demand of wood products while minimizing waste
   - Balance finances over tactical plan
• Capacity Planning: Improve insight on resources required to execute harvest schedule and prevent unexpected costs
   - Include seasonal constraints



Tuesday, March 25, 2014 - Coordinating Roads:
 
The coordinating roads webinar will help you prevent bottle necks in production as well as minimizing waste that may occur if your road plan isn't appropriately synced with your harvest plan. When roads are introduced to the problem you can increase the realism of your plan by considering constraints on road building capacity and budgeting.

• Infrastructure Planning: Co-ordinate road schedule with harvest schedule

   - If operating under fixed budget what roads provide best access to blocks to allow for greatest conformance to harvest schedule

Implement a well-developed plan and produce achievable objectives on the ground. Compensate for developing variables by editing plan to make realistic changes through ground-level inputs based on benefits and risks.
