December 20th, 2007

Remsoft positioning for growth with addition of new senior management

FREDERICTON – Steve Palmer has been named co-Chief Executive Officer of Remsoft, Inc. In a move that reflects Remsoft’s expansion into new industry sectors, Palmer will share executive responsibilities with current Remsoft President (and now co-CEO), Andrea Feunekes. His primary focus will be on expanding the company’s growth in the areas of Business Intelligence and Predictive Analytics.  Palmer will assume his new role on January 2, 2008.

“We are excited about our potential for growth, and see Steve as a key part of that” says Andrea Feunekes. “We have years of experience in predictive modeling in the natural resources sector and are looking forward to delivering this capability in new sectors. With his extensive business and technology background, and values that align perfectly with Remsoft’s focus on innovation, employees and customer satisfaction, we have an unbeatable leadership team.”

Palmer is an acknowledged leader in the field of telecommunications and high-technology. Prior to joining Remsoft, Palmer was Chief Operating Officer for Whitehill Technologies where he played a key role in growing the company to the fifth largest private software company in Canada. Palmer also was CIO for Aliant Telecom (formerly NBTel) after working as its comptroller, among other roles.

"I am very proud of the experience I have gained over the last several years in New Brunswick’s software industry, most notably with Whitehill Technologies, which was recently acquired by Skywire Software,” says Palmer. “It is with great pleasure that I join the Remsoft team and share in building on the excellent business and product foundation already in place."

Palmer’s community involvement includes charities and organizations such as the United Way. His efforts place particular emphasis on mentoring, including the Rising Stars Program of the New Brunswick Knowledge Industry. Palmer is chair of the Greater Moncton Knowledge Industry Network and a member of the Moncton Technology Planning Group.
