REMSOFT ANNOUNCES CO-CEO STEVE PALMER HAS DECIDED TO RETIRE
July 7th, 2015
CEO Andrea Feunekes circulated the following letter to the friends and colleagues:
The purpose of my message is to reach out to our clients and colleagues directly with some Remsoft news.
For the past 7 years I have had the privilege of working side-by-side with my Co-CEO Steve Palmer. As you may know, our company continues to grow and change and we are at an exciting time in the business. Our clients are responding very well to our focus on productivity, operational planning and overall business sustainability. We are continuing to build out our team and develop the right technology to ensure that keep on delivering the highest quality of solutions and service.
At this point in our journey, Steve has chosen to put a plan in place that will allow him to step back from day to day business, spend more time with family, and pursue some other areas of interest. As a result, effective March 30, 2015, I assumed the role of President and CEO, and Steve moved into the role of Corporate Vice President until his retirement later this year.
In order to ensure a smooth transition, Steve has taken on some key internal projects for the next few months - primarily in Finance, HR and Operations - which will position Remsoft well for our next phase of growth. He will also remain available to the company on an ongoing basis as a Director of the company.
On a personal note, I am really going to miss working with Steve on a day to day basis. The Co-CEO role is not right for every business, but has it proved to be good for Remsoft at a key point in time. Steve has made an important contribution to our company and will leave some real gaps that we will have to strive to fill. He will also be missed by our team who have appreciated the breadth and depth of experience he brought to Remsoft as well as his positive support and coaching.
Later in the year, we will do something with Steve and his wife Trudi to mark Steve’s retirement, but in the meantime we wanted to let you know about this news.
