Leadership Team

Andrea is co-founder and co-CEO of Remsoft, Inc., the world’s leading provider of asset lifecycle optimization solutions for land-based and infrastructure assets.  Established in 1992, Remsoft serves blue chip clients in North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia and New Zealand.
 
Under Andrea’s leadership, Remsoft has grown from a start-up to become one of the world’s leading providers of advanced analytics, modeling and spatial planning technology.  The company helps clients simplify complex, high variable decisions to fuel long-term sustainability and meet critical objectives while ensuring that all business and regulatory constraints are met.  Andrea is responsible for business development, product strategy, sales and marketing and management of day-to-day operations.  She is particularly interested in strategic planning, product development, commercialization and emerging export markets.

Andrea is a member of the New Brunswick Business Council and is an active volunteer in the community. She was a recipient of the RBC Canadian Woman Entrepreneur of the Year award and she was named an Edelman Laureate by the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS).  

Andrea holds a Bachelors degree in Outdoor Recreation (Honours) and BA (Geography) from Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Post-Graduate Diploma in Secondary Education (Geography) from McGill University and a Master of Science (Forestry) from the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton.

Steve Palmer is Co-CEO of Remsoft Inc. His primary focus is on corporate strategy, finance, client services and on expanding the company’s growth in the areas of Business Intelligence and Advanced Analytics.

Prior to joining Remsoft, Steve had an impressive career in the technology sector in New Brunswick most notably was his position as Chief Operating Officer for Whitehill Technologies where he played a key role in growing the company to the 5th largest private software company in Canada.

Steve holds a Bachelor of Science degree and an MBA from Dalhousie University. He also holds the FCMA designation and was named an Edelman Laureate, honoring worldwide excellence in Operations Research by the Institute for Operations Research and Management Sciences (INFORMS). 

Giving back to his community is a priority for Steve - he commits time and energy to mentoring others in the tech sector and spearheads the Rising Stars Program of the New Brunswick Knowledge Industry.

Ugo Feunekes is a founding partner of Remsoft. He holds the title of Chief Technology Officer – we really just refer to him as the genius!

Ugo is the chief architect of Remsoft's software and is responsible for our research and development program and overall product development. He also plays a leading role in the company's Training, Start-up Service and Maintenance programs.

Under Ugo's direction, the Remsoft Spatial Planning System has become widely-used by managers in public and private sector organizations around the world.

Born and brought up in Southern Ontario, Ugo holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Forestry from Lakehead University, a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Mathematics from McGill University and a Master of Science degree in Forestry from the University of New Brunswick.

Doug Jones is in charge of Client Services for Remsoft, including responsibility for all aspects of client relationships and sales support initiatives.  Doug provides our global clients base with exceptional service. He understands their needs and knows how to address any planning  issues they may have.

Prior to joining Remsoft, Doug served as Business Development Manager for Forest Technology Group and before that worked as an independent forestry consultant serving major forest product companies and First Nation groups.

Doug is a former professional hockey player who played with teams in Sweden, Denmark and Italy. He holds an Honors Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography and Economics from the University of Western Ontario and a Masters of Forestry from the University of New Brunswick.

Doug is a very proud dad to his two young boys Kaj and Rein.

Sandi heads up (and fires up) Remsoft marketing initiatives and has successfully taken charge of increasing Remsoft’s market share in existing markets and moving the company into new areas - both geographic markets and new fields of application for Remsoft software.
 
A marketing powerhouse with over 20 years of experience in the field and a focus on bottom line results – Sandi’s specialty in recent years has been high-technology marketing and her strategic work with Remsoft continues to result in a higher profile for the company amongst local, national and international audiences.

Sandi greatest pleasure is being a mom to her very busy nine year old son, Liam Wallace.

For over 20 years, John has held senior business development, sales, and sales management roles with companies specializing in decision support and BI.  With a growing market need for sophisticated management solutions, John's expertise will help organizations realize a higher return on their investments.

When not immersed in business and technology, John is an avid mountain biker indulging his love of the outdoors and seeking out muddy new spots wherever they may be.

Marie-Eve brings rigour, discipline and oversight to major client projects. She also manages all of Remsoft’s clients in South America and Québec, Canada. A hands-on contributor to the Remsoft team, Marie-Eve provides multilingual services in planning, teaching, monitoring and control, along with preparing and reviewing plans and follow-up reporting, in French, Spanish and English.

Prior to joining Remsoft, Marie-Eve led a varied career at home and overseas, providing technical support and training in GIS and optimization modeling, preparing management plans for landholders, and teaching international forestry at the university level.

A native of Québec, Canada, Marie-Eve holds a Bachelor of Forest Sciences from l’Université de Moncton, NB, Canada, along with a Masters Certificate in Project Management from the University of New Brunswick Canada’s College of Extended Learning.

As Account Executive, Anthony brings a dedicated focus to the Remsoft team, building strong, trusted relationships with new and longstanding clients alike. Bringing honesty and integrity to every aspect of his work, Anthony clearly understands how Remsoft can provide value to a client’s business, and has the uncanny ability in identifying possible solutions to resolve a client’s issue. Simply put, clients trust him. Anthony also oversees potential markets and manages Remsoft’s current accounts in Australia, New Zealand, and the central and eastern United States. 

Prior to joining Remsoft, Anthony honed his talents through a varied career in Ontario, Canada’s startup sector. Part of a three person startup, he developed his business acumen along with the growth of the company through his diverse role in sales and service management. From there he worked in the Relocation Industry, building long term partnerships and facilitating relocations for the Pharmaceutical, Technology and Financial industries across Canada and around the world.

In his spare time, Anthony is an avid traveler, having visited more than 30 countries worldwide, and can also be found on the starting lineup of the Association of State Foresters (USA) basketball tournament held each fall - now that's trust!

 

Approachable and insightful, Elliot’s primary focus is in leading Remsoft’s development team through the design, prototyping, development and launch of business intelligence and advanced analytics applications. He is also an effective communicator with the unique ability of bridging the gap between business objectives and technical requirements.

Prior to joining Remsoft, Elliot has had a varied career in the IT industry, providing expertise in programming, technical architecture, product and project management, and business analysis.

Elliot is a native of New Brunswick, and holds a BA (with a joint honours in history and anthropology) and a Master's in Computer Science, both from the University of New Brunswick, Canada.

A very proud father of two, Elliot also has a keen interest in classical and medieval history. In his spare time, he also gives back to Fredericton’s IT community as a member of the KIRA organizing committee.

Jennifer is the newest addition to the Remsoft Team. Driven and hard-working, she brings 13 years of international forestry experience in Canada, Uruguay and South Africa - both in the private and public sector. She also has extensive experience in forest certification, ISO management systems and process improvement.

With over five years work experience as a resource analyst using Remsoft software in the past, Jennifer understands firsthand how Remsoft solutions provide significant value in addressing a client’s needs. As business analyst, Jennifer works with new and existing clients to better understand their workflow and business processes, and the ways in which Remsoft solutions can provide further value in addressing their needs. 

A native of New Brunswick, Canada, Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Forestry from the University of New Brunswick, Canada, and a Master of Science in Forestry from Stellenbosch University, South Africa.

Jennifer loves being a mom to her daughter Eva Isabel and spending time at her camp.

Based in Brazil and employed by Inflor as a Remsoft Specialist, Cesar brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in process development and wood supply model design that reflect typical South American industrial forestry conditions. With over ten years of working with some of Brazil’s largest forest companies, Cesar has wide-ranging experience in coordinating their forest planning, econometrics and model simulation, and forest research and development.
 
As Remsoft specialist, Cesar is responsible in serving and supporting Remsoft’s South American clients to attain maximum benefit from Remsoft’s solutions.

Cesar is a Brazilian forest engineer and holds a Master of Forest Sciences from the Federal University of Viçosa-MG. He is presently completing his PHD in optimization applied to forest planning at the Federal University of Parana State.

In his spare time, Cesar can be found enjoying his young son or riding his motorbike.
