Biography

As Vice President of Corporate Development, Mike’s role is to advance Remsoft’s expanding portfolio of global accounts. He is responsible for leading strategic growth initiatives across all areas of Remsoft’s business, including forestry, land management, right of way and civil infrastructure management, and more.

With more than 25 years of industry experience, Oliver has worked in the energy, engineering, military/aerospace, remote sensing, and natural resource sectors in a variety of management capacities. Oliver founded and grew two technology-based companies and has worked in a variety of companies on their commercialization and growth strategies. In addition, Oliver has served on the board of directors for the Information Technology Association of Nova Scotia (ITANS), Enterprise Fredericton, and two companies in the New Brunswick Innovation Foundation portfolio.

Mike is a part-time instructor for the University of New Brunswick’s Technology Management & Entrepreneurship program, focusing on new venture creation and technology risk management and has completed executive training courses on innovation, opportunity assessment and commercialization from Babson College and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He also holds a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Brunswick.
